Welcome
I am Kristina

I’m a Norwegian artist, illustrator, and visual storyteller with a quiet but persistent interest in honesty, rhythm, and small emotional truths.
My work often moves between intuitive painting, subtle character illustration, and narrative surface pattern design, always with a focus on emotional resonance and visual calm.
I alternate between digital tools and slow, tactile materials like gouache and ink. With a background in statistics, I also have a soft spot for systems — whether in patterns, storytelling, or the quiet logic of nature.
Lately, I’ve been exploring a more intuitive, meditative practice through symbolic, line-based works that sit somewhere between plant memory and inner language. They’re usually created in single sittings, with a sense of pause and presence.
Across all my projects, whether a children’s book, a repeat pattern, or a small painting, I try to create space for stillness, curiosity, and gentle meaning.
I’m always curious about where it might wander and who it might meet along the way.

You might want to work with me if:
- You’re drawn to work that’s slow, thoughtful, and emotionally clear — even when it’s playful.
- You’re a publisher looking for heartfelt illustration with a quiet sense of humor.
You’re an art director in search of fresh, narrative-driven pattern design.
- You value visual storytelling with a handmade touch.
- You’re building something honest and curious — and you want the visuals to reflect that.
Let’s make something beautiful and meaningful together.
